I’m once again taking a floral design class, and I’m also finishing up my flower growing season.  As a result, I’m getting quite an odd collection of design samples to show you.  Rather than put up a bunch of snippets, I thought I’d put a collection of them together in one post.  Forgive me if this seems a tad unorganized.

Greets! (here goes a long comment)
I just realized today that I’m in your Advanced II class. (One of the few non-students in there)
I found your blog over a year ago trying to find someone who’d blogged about Longwood’s floral courses (when I was trying to decide whether to take the plunge and enroll). – And you pretty much sold me on it. (Little did you know…)

Anyhow – your blog is lovely, your photography is lovely, and in-person your interpersonal skills are incredible. I expect you make friends very easily! (Says the introvert)

    Thanks for your lovely blog!

Oh, how funny, Em! I know exactly who you are – my fellow “tight” girl. :) Actually, so glad you’re in the class because Nancy can be rather ruthless about those of us who prefer tighter designs to her loose billowy things. I do hope you’re happy to be taking the certificate courses. Can’t wait to say hello next week.

By the way, I really loved your designs this week! You’ve definitely got talent. :)

p.s. – many thanks for the kind words too!

Oh my god, that wreath with the lobster knocker is my favorite image of the week! That can’t be your dorm at Longwood. If that’s what the outside of your house looks like, I would love a peek inside!

    • Jennie Says:

Hehehe, isn’t the lobster knocker the best? I was wondering if anyone would pick up on it. Of course you did, my dear. :) That is my Philadelphia house. It came with the house when we bought it (I was pretty much “sold” at the front door, as you might imagine). I’d show you a peek inside, but it’s not very, um, er, tidy, always. Once my “double life” is done, I hope to do the inside justice to match the outside charm. Then you’re more than welcome to take a look inside! :)
