I was asked to design a few small appreciation pieces using my garden’s flowers. At this juncture, between spring’s delicate blooms and summer’s bounty, I was challenged to create a cohesive color scheme and a use for some alliums that had gone to seed. I really rather ended up liking the architectural sparsness of those alliums in the end. While relatively small, this design concept would be smashing at an intimate early summer wedding, perhaps set on the cocktail tables and tucked into small seating areas.

Materials used:
Containers were a medium blue serving bowl and large blue mugs.
Mechanics were clear tape grids.
Foliage used was iresine leaves, artemisia leaves, and dill fronds.
Flowers used were allium seed heads, salvia, columbine, sweet pea, hydrangea, queen anne lace, talinum, ox-eye daisies, and sweet williams.

Very nice!
Thanks!!
