This design was inspired by watching my instructor, Nancy Shenk, create a similar piece. I choose a palate of colors that would be rich but not over-the-top as I felt the design was already dramatic in-and-of-itself. The natural curve of the bells of Ireland and the heather were used to frame the focal area filled in with amethyst tulips. I believe this design would work wonderfully on cocktail tables or a bar.
Materials used:
Container was a 5×5 green ceramic square.
Mechanics were instant oasis and Spanish moss.
Foliage used was Boston fern.
Flowers used were heather, tulips, carnations, bells of Ireland and freesia.
